Privacy Policy

The short version: in its current version, the app has no server, no account, and no analytics. Everything you enter — your profile, workouts, measurements, and photos — is stored only on the device you're using, inside your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you personally choose to export a backup file yourself.

1.Who this policy covers

This policy covers both the website at top1percentfit.co.in — its guides, exercise library and calculators — and the Top 1% Fit application ("the app"), whether you open the app in a browser or install it to your home screen as a Progressive Web App. Where the two behave differently, this policy says so. "We" and "our" mean the operator of both.

2.Information we do not collect

Everything you enter into the app stays on your device: there is no application server to receive it, no account to attach it to, and no analytics collecting it. Specifically, we do not collect, receive, or have access to any of the following:

There is no login, no account creation, and no way for us to identify you as a user.

3.What is stored, and where

The app stores information using two standard browser technologies, both of which keep data entirely on your device:

The website stores one thing of its own: a single preference key, top1.publicTheme, remembering whether you chose the light or dark theme. It holds nothing but that choice, it is not an identifier, and it never leaves your browser.

This data persists across visits on the same browser and device, but is not transmitted to us or to any third party at any point. If you clear your browser's site data, or switch to a different browser or device, this locally stored data does not carry over — the app includes an "Export backup" feature in Settings for exactly this reason.

4.Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Vercel. Like any web host, its servers record a standard access log for each request — the IP address it came from, the browser's user-agent string, the URL requested and the time. This is how the pages reach you at all, and it is used for delivering the site and for spotting abuse or faults. It is not used to build a profile of you, it is not combined with anything you type into the app, and we do not sell or share it.

Because this hosting is global, a request may be served from — and logged by — infrastructure outside the country you are in. Nothing you enter into the app is included in these logs; as section 3 explains, that information never leaves your device in the first place.

5.Third parties

The app does not load fonts, analytics scripts, advertising code, or any other resource from a third-party server. All the code, styling, images, and exercise demonstrations are generated locally by files included with the app itself.

6.Backups you create yourself

The Settings screen lets you export a backup of your data as a file, and import it back later or on another device. This action is entirely manual and initiated by you — the app never does this automatically or without your action. Once exported, you are responsible for how and where you store or share that backup file.

7.Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children and is not designed to collect information from anyone, including children, since it collects no information from any user. We recommend the app be used by, or under the guidance of an adult for, users under 16.

8.Your control, and your rights

Because everything is stored locally, you are always in full control:

Data-protection law in several regions — including the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 — gives you rights to access, correct, erase, or object to the processing of personal data held about you. In practice we hold almost nothing to act on: your training data is on your own device, and the only records on our side are the hosting access logs described in section 4. If you believe we hold something about you, write to contact@top1percentfit.co.in and we will answer. If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority.

9.Changes to this policy

This policy describes how the app currently works. If its data practices change in the future — for example, if advertising, analytics, paid features or an account system are introduced — this policy will be updated first, with the effective date at the top revised accordingly. Sections 2 to 5 in particular describe how things work today and would be revised at that point.
